No news today. We're still working on the full length, it's
coming along nicely though, I'm stoked for it to be released.
No promises but hopefully by Christmas we'll have a new record.
Thanks for your patience, check us out at Kilby with Criteria.
They totally kick ass and we're excited to play with them.

Hey Y'all, I'm back from my semester-long Internship in D.C.
It was a great experience and I'm glad to have had the opportunity
to go. It was hard to be away for that long but it was worth
it. We are still working on our upcoming full length release;
we're getting vocals and ironing out some mixing issues.
We should have a show sometime in the coming summer months
- I haven't played my drums in 4 1/2 so it
might take a couple of weeks to get back in the swing of things.
Hope to see you all at the next show. Thanks for your
support.

What's up everyone? We have a couple of shows coming up that
you don't want to miss because I am leaving for Washington
D.C. in January to do an Internship for the Campaign Legal
Center. I will be gone until May, so if you want to see us
before then, make sure you take advantage of these upcoming
events. We have scheduled some studio time in mid December
to start tracking the full length, I am going to get my tracks
finished before I go, and the rest of the dudes will finish
while I'm gone. So hopefully we'll have a new record sometime
this coming summer. Yippee!

Holy Cow! The New Transit Direction Cd Release show was absolutely
amazing, I feel bad for anyone who missed it. It truly was
a rock extravaganza, In Camera is my new favorite local band
they totally rocked. Form of Rocket, as always was amazing
to see live. And it goes without saying that TNTD is the next
big thing in rock. Words can't describe how awesome they are.
Thanks to everyone who came out, and thanks especially to
TNTD for asking us to play, we were honored to be there. If
you haven't got a copy of "Wonderful Defense Mechanisms"
you need to go buy one now. Thanks all

What up ya'll? I just got back from Italy
and I'm super stoked to be home. Italy is a beautiful place
and I learned a lot of valuable lessons, it was definitely
a wonderful experience, but 6 weeks is a long time and I was
pretty homesick so I'm glad to be home so the rawk can commence.
Now
TMD is back in business, we are back in the studio working
on some pre-production stuff for our full length, and hope
to have a respectable demo here shortly, maybe we'll have
a couple new tunes available for you on a split or something
in the fall, it all depends on how this session works out.
We have a couple of bitchin' shows coming up for you, take
a quick gander at the shows page for details. We love you
all, and hope to see you at the next show.
Love ya,

a little break in June, July & August to do some writing
and studio work, so make sure to catch us while you can. We've
got some bitchin' shows lined up so be sure to check out the
shows page and make plans to come rock out.

Hey folks, we just got back from our spring break tour in
Colorado with our good friends I Am Electric, and it was totally
awesome, we had a blast. We played a show in Denver with the
Iron Sheik which was entertaining to say the least. We had
an awesome show in Clifton, and we would like to say thanks
to the kids that set up that show for us we really appreciate
it, also we'd like to thank everyone who came out to support
us, the kids in Clifton (grand junction) were especially cool
to us. Thanks to all the bands that we played with, we were
lucky enough to have the opportunity to see some really great
Colorado talent. Big shout out to I Am Electric for being
the coolest band ever and for setting up the tour.
Also we have some new t-shirts and other cool stuff so make
sure you come to the next show and support your local music.
Thanks all.

on the comp. See the show section for details. We've been
polishing up some new tunes and doing a little work in the
studio in preparation for our full length. I am gonna have
a baby any day now so we we'll be out for a little while but
we are planning to continue writing in the meantime. Thanks

Hi
Y'all, we just got back from our aptly named Sunny Beaches
Tour, and it was awesome. We would like give a special thanks
to Chris Bradley for booking our shows and letting us crash
his pad. Also we'd like to thank Kayla for her hospitality,
she took great care of us in San Diego. The show at the Prospector
was very cool and the Che Cafe is an awesome all ages venue
for punk rock bands, we had a great time playing out in California.
Thanks to everyone who helped us out and rocked out with us.
Hopefully
we'll have some pics from tour to post up, so keep your eyes
peeled for that action. We have some stuff in the punk rock
times so check that out this month. Again we have some cool
merchandise for y'all to pick up at any of our shows, so come
out and rock with us. We are going back to the studio this
month with John Burdick to start some pre-production work
on our upcoming full length and we're super excited for that.
Thanks everyone, we love you and hope to see you soon.

This update
is dedicated to Josh stohl.
Sorry
for the delay on the news page folks, things have been pretty
hectic around here lately. I've been busy baby proofing my
house for the new addition. We had a super time on tour last
month, Nashville clubs have great sound systems, the two shows
we had there were awesome. We had a great show in Warensbourgh,
Missouri at a place called the Set List, totally awesome joint
we really appreciate all the kids we met there. Unfortunately
I have no funny stories from tour, it was pretty low key,
we did a lot of driving, and when I say a lot, I mean a lot,
plus Bernie and I were sick, but we made it work cause that's
how we do it.
We are really looking forward to getting back in the bus and
going to California this coming weekend, we've got a couple
cool shows so it should be a good time. When we get back from
California we're getting back into the studio with John Burdick,
and we're all super stoked to start recording again. There
have been some changes made to the show schedule so be sure
to check that out.
We have cheap t-shirts, cd's and stickers available at any
of our shows, so be sure to check with us or you can email
us and we'll send you stuff.
Love you all. Thanks
for your support.

like to thank the kids in Hyrum/Logan for coming out and rockin'
with us last night, we had a blast, shows up there are always
a good time and this was no exception. We are gearing up to
hit the road in the fun bus this month, see the shows page
for details on our Southern Bell Tour. Also just F.Y.I. we
should have T-shirts very soon, so come out and get some cool
Middle Distance merchandise. T-shirts always make a great
holiday gift, they will also be available online. So watch
for that. Thanks everyone and have a great holiday season.

out to shows and stuff. We love you all. You can buy our ep
online, at any of our shows, or at gray whale cd. Hope to
see you soon, thanks again.
July 27th
It's official the disc is off to press and we will have it back
in a couple of weeks. Look for a release party for our debut
EP "FOREWORD" sooner than later. Thanks to everyone
for being patient. Thanks to everyone who helped us out. We
look 'foreword' to seeing you all soon.

Oh My God! If there is one thing I've learned from all this
it is, 'don't post it on the internet if it's not a done deal.'
Every time I think we are finished and the records gonna be
out, something happens and screws everything up. We are still
waiting for our cd to come back from the second mastering, I'm
gonna say it'll be out sometime this year, just to be safe.
Thanks for hanging in there, we are writing new tunes for the
next album, we should start tracking for that this autumn. We
have a booking agent now so we are planning a couple of short
regional tours, watch for dates coming soon. Thanks see you
soon.
Jefferson May 13th 2003
Hey there! We just got our mastered CD back from West West Side
and will be sending it off shortly to get pressed. We're hoping
to have it all packaged up and available by the middle of June.
Stay tuned for updates.
Scott April 17th 2003
What up kiddies? We are going to be on hiatus for about a couple
of months to write some new tunes and get ready for our upcoming
tour. There will be a couple of mp3's from our debut ep on the
website next week so check them out. Devin is going to Spain
in may to study Spanish chicks, and we are gonna stay at home
and try our best to tie up the loose ends for the disc and tour.
Again I am booking the tour by myself so any help would be appreciated.
Non-Utah bands that can hook us up in your town, we will do
the same for you if you need a date in SLC. Thanks for your
support we will see you soon. Thanks.
Jefferson March 24th 2003
Hey everyone! Thanks to everyone who came to the uprok show
it was a blast! We are still in the studio hacking away at the
vocals and mixing this week. The mastering date has been pushed
back to May 8th because we couldn't get the tracking done in
time for the March 28th deadline, but never fear it will be
finished in May. We are going to start booking here pretty soon
for our summer tour so watch for those dates, any help booking
east coast venues would be very much appreciated. Thanks all,
we hope to see you soon, don't forget to check out the shows
link for a calendar of shows to come.
Jefferson February 28th 2003
Hello kids! We would like to thank everyone that came out to
the Seldom Scene kickoff show; all of us had a really great
time!
We will be in the studio this week finishing the tracking and
mixing on our EP. We have secured the talented Alan Douches
from West Westside music in New Jersey to master our EP. It
will be finished march 30th. Also we will have a song on the
up coming Seldom Scene compilation CD that will be released
this summer.
Thanks for everyone’s support and we hope to see you soon. Check
out the upcoming shows we’we have got some cool stuff on the
calendar. Take care all!
-TMD January 17th 2003
Hello everybody! I hope all is well. Thanks for your support,
we have a bunch of shows coming up and we're all stoked to be
playing out.
We are almost finished tracking our ep with John Burdick. There
is going to be a little bit of a wait because John and his wife
are about to have a bambino and of course he's stoked and stressed
so we are gonna give him some time to acclimate to being a father
before we get him back in the studio with us.
If all goes well the 6 song EP "These are the days"
will be released by My Sweet Records sometime in late February
or early March. Thanks again and we will see ya'll soon.
